Missed call text-back and AI receptionist for electricians
You can't take a call while you're working on a consumer unit or chasing a cable through a ceiling. InstallerLine answers for you, takes the caller's details, pencils EICRs and quote visits into your diary for you to confirm with one tap, and texts back anyone who rings off.

Calls you miss on the tools
Landlord EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, extra sockets and fault-finding all start with a phone call, and the caller usually wants someone quickly. If you can't pick up, they ring the next electrician on the list.
Example calls, and how InstallerLine handles them
Landlord EICR
The call: A letting agent needs an EICR on a two-bedroom flat before a new tenancy starts.
What InstallerLine does: Takes the agent's details, the property address and postcode, tenant access details and the deadline, then pencils in a provisional slot.
What you get: A text with the slot to confirm and an email summary with everything the agent said.
Power keeps tripping
The call: A homeowner says the RCD keeps tripping and half the house has no power. They mention a burning smell near the consumer unit.
What InstallerLine does: Tells them to keep clear and call 999 if anyone's in danger, takes their details and marks the call urgent. It doesn't give electrical advice.
What you get: An URGENT alert straight away so you can ring them back.
Consumer unit upgrade quote
The call: Someone buying an older house wants a price for a new consumer unit and some extra sockets.
What InstallerLine does: Takes the property details, never quotes a price you haven't approved, and pencils in a quote visit as provisional.
What you get: A summary and a provisional quote visit to confirm, move or decline.
Examples only. They show how the service is set up to handle these calls.

How it works
Divert your missed calls
Turn on "divert when busy or unanswered" on your mobile or landline. It takes two minutes, and we send you the steps for your network.
We build your receptionist
We set up your services, area, hours, FAQs and diary, and test it before it goes live. You approve exactly what it's allowed to say.
Every enquiry, captured
After each call you get an email and a text with the caller's name, number, postcode, job and urgency. Anyone who rings off gets a text back.
See what lands on your phone and how it knows when you're free.

Hear a demo
📞 Call the demo line
The demo answers as a fictional heating firm, Borders Heating. Your line is set up for your own trade, with your services, area, hours and the questions you want asked.
Standard UK call rates apply. Calls to the demo line are recorded and transcribed so we can improve the service. Borders Heating isn't a real firm, so nobody will be sent out.

Questions from electricians
Does InstallerLine work for electricians?
Yes. We set it up for your firm: your services, area, hours, the questions you want asked and what counts as urgent. You approve exactly what it's allowed to say before it goes live.
Do I need to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and divert calls you don't answer (or all calls, if you prefer) to your InstallerLine number. Your phone provider may charge for diverted calls, depending on your plan.
Does it confirm jobs on its own?
No. On Receptionist and Busy Firm it pencils jobs and visits into your diary as provisional, and nothing is final until you confirm with one tap or reply with another time. If you don't confirm within 24 hours (or 2 hours before the slot, if sooner), the slot is released and the caller is told you'll ring them.
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. It says so at the start of every call, and it tells callers the call is recorded.
Will it give electrical advice?
No. It never tells callers how to fix a fault. It follows the safety wording we've agreed with you, takes the details and gets them to you.
Can it handle EV charger and solar enquiries too?
Yes. If you also fit EV chargers, solar or batteries, we add those services and the questions you want asked for each one.
