Does InstallerLine work for roofers?
Yes. We set it up for your firm: your services, area, hours, the questions you want asked and what counts as urgent. You approve exactly what it's allowed to say before it goes live.
Do I need to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and divert calls you don't answer (or all calls, if you prefer) to your InstallerLine number. Your phone provider may charge for diverted calls, depending on your plan.
Does it confirm jobs on its own?
No. On Receptionist and Busy Firm it pencils jobs and visits into your diary as provisional, and nothing is final until you confirm with one tap or reply with another time. If you don't confirm within 24 hours (or 2 hours before the slot, if sooner), the slot is released and the caller is told you'll ring them.
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. It says so at the start of every call, and it tells callers the call is recorded.
Can it cope when the phone doesn't stop after a storm?
Yes. It answers every call that's diverted to it, including calls that come in at the same time, and you get a summary of each one.
Will it promise to come out the same day?
No. It never promises a time, price or roofer. Urgent calls are passed to you to ring back.
